Black Walnut season is here and many of you may be wondering where you can drop of your black walnuts in return for a little extra cash.
Hammons just opened their hulling station at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds on Tuesday, and will stay open thru November 4th. They will be paying $13 per 100 hulled pounds; the highest price they have ever paid! As the season goes on it isn’t uncommon for the price to drop, so hurry up and gather your black walnuts and head to the Fairgrounds.« Continue »

The Greater Ozarks Blues Festival is the original two day celebration of Blues in the Springfield area since 1996. The festival will be held at the Ozark Empire Fairground on Friday 6, and Saturday 7. You’ll find incredible musicians and great food. The first two days of the festival include great regional artists, including Stella Blue, John Nemeth & The Bo-Keys, and Selwyn Birchwood.
